It looks like a maxi dress but it actually two pieces

It falls from the shoulders from flat silk straps that are made form the same fabric as the rest of the dress

The company would send the fabric to be hand beaded and then the dresses were made form the resulting fabric back in the US

This dress is from one of those extremely rare collections that pre dates the opening
