Adolfo started his career under Balenciaga and like Halston, was a successful milliner before opening his own fashion house in 1962. He initially focused on hats but in in just a couple of years added a full clothing line. By 1969 he was presented with a special Coty Award for his contribution to design from head to toe. He became know for his Chanel inspired clothing and many of his
